My tattoo marking ceremonies are a series of ritual procedures and protocols that are tailored to a client’s spiritual needs. The sole purpose of this ceremony depends on what is spiritually required for the client and their service. My job is to support the client and facilitate them in connecting with themselves spiritually. I do this by creating a healing and supportive environment outside in nature, through this we practice the marking rituals of our ancestors. My specific practice of ritual combines the study of indigenous African tattooing traditions, my ancestral spiritual practice of Hoodoo, and my own personal artistic expression. The only priority of mine is the client’s safety and care. By creating this tattooing tradition of my own I want clients to walk away feeling proud of who they are and where they come from.
